HOW TO SURVIVE A SATURN TRANSIT?
We are all afraid of Saturn, and in ancient times it was called
the “Greater Malefic”, because its function is to “test” us and oblige us to
reconsider the area of our life that Saturn is challenging. Saturn represents
the way we have structured our universe and this is what is being questioned
when Saturn transits our personal planets and the house in our chart that
Saturn is transiting. This is the time to find out what we really want and do
not want, to re-organize our life and to let go of what we do not need. However, most of us experience Saturn as an
external force that we cannot control and we resist it until we bring about the
very “fated event” that we wanted to avoid in the first place. But no matter
how unpleasant this event might be, its outcome is what you really wanted but
did not dare to face.
So, how can we avoid the “pain”? The Saturn experience is an
internal one, and when the planet transits a house in our horoscope, we should
pay attention to the affairs of this house and examine, honestly and
realistically, every aspect of these affairs. If they are in good condition,
Saturn will help us solidify our situation. If they are in poor condition,
Saturn will bring changes that we should accept and adapt to instead of
resisting. As an example of a Saturn “fatality”, let’s take the loss of a job,
because of layoffs or any other circumstance out of our control. Maybe we should have quit that job a long
time ago, but we were afraid to let go. Well, Saturn came to the rescue and now
we are free to go for something we really want!
So, is it so bad?
